About me
I am Jonathan Sandyck (b. 1989) and I work as a psychomotor therapist (PMT) at the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwziekenhuis in Bruges, in the departments for anxiety and mood disorders and intensive continued treatment. You can also find me on Wednesdays at Praktijk La Lys. As a psychomotor therapist, I start from the interaction between body and mind, with particular attention to developing a healthy relationship with the body. Psychomotor therapy is an experiential form of therapy in which we work through movement and body-oriented exercises. During the sessions we use, among other things, breathing exercises, yoga and stretching, gentle physical activation, meditation and relaxation techniques. Through the body we can also make room for emotional release and work on themes such as assertiveness and setting boundaries.

Drawing on my background as a narrative-inspired therapist, we search together for words for what presents itself in the body. In this way we try to understand, place and integrate experiences. Together we look for a way forward. You can come to me if you want to experience more calm, learn to cope better with tension or stress, or reconnect with your body. If you wish, we can also look at training advice with a view to a healthier and stronger body. A session lasts 1 hour. I work in a calm, respectful and attuned way, in which your pace and your needs are central.

Please cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before the start of the session.
